Job description: Overview:JOB SUMMARYClinical Laboratory Scientists perform moderate and high complexity testing in one or more areas to include chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: See License and Certification requirements.Experience: One (1) year experience in a licensed acute care hospital is preferred.Knowledge and Skills: The scientist may or may not perform all the essential job functions, depending upon the level of experience. Employee must demonstrate age specific competencies for the specific work area in which the employee works and cares for patients.License and Certifications: Valid State of California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or valid State license as a Clinical Microbiology Scientist (MTE) (for Microbiology position only).Equipment: Proficient in the use of computerized systems and automated instrumentation.Physical Requirments: Must be able to perform the essential physical duties of the job as noted on the job description.PAY RANGE$42.50 – $63.50The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
