Job description: Develops project test plans; prepare test facilities & required instrumentation Coordinate technician resources in support of project test plan Analyze test data for determination of validity and product compliance to specifications Prepare test data materials for submittal to safety agencies Formally document product design issues & specification non-conformances along with subsequent corrective action taken; provide feedback to project teams on test activities, open issues, and project schedule Organize test data and prepares test reports Participate in global test and design reviews Perform tests on the power converters (Greater than 100kW) and system level controllers Implement, test, and troubleshoot high level controls and system interactions Support and perform minimum viable product testing and demonstrations in the lab or at customer sites Collaborate with cross functional teams within US and in EMEA and APAC Support prototype build, testing and delivery of products to the customer Working well with a cross functional team Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum five (5) years work experience in new or existing product development testing OR Master’s degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum two (2) years work experience in new or existing product development testing. Willing to work in a high-power lab test environment Experience high power testing of electrical systems. Experience with power electronics lab and hands on with high power equipment at 480Vac. Experience with 1500Vdc power equipment. Experience with setup and test for product certifications Working knowledge of typical electronics measuring systems and applications such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data-loggers, dielectric analyzers, etc Experience working with contractors and suppliers for test facilities, including commissioning and implementation of equipment Ability to demonstrate process management and figure out processes necessary to get things done Ability to evaluate safety and risks associated with electrical products and electrical hazards Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
