Job description: Groundworks is seeking a talented Program Manager, Talent Development to join our tribe!The Program Manager, Talent Development executes and improves talent initiatives and processes that support onboarding, internal mobility, and leadership readiness. This role manages day-to-day operations of the General Manager in Training (GMIT) program, ensuring a consistent, high-impact experience for participants and stakeholders. The Program Manager will partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities for automation, streamlined processes, and enhanced scalability. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Development, this role blends program management, relationship management with a strong customer service mindset, facilitation, and a passion for learning to deliver scalable development experiences across the employee lifecycle.Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the General Manager in Training (GMIT) program, including scheduling, logistics, tracking, and communication.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for GMIT program participants and stakeholders, delivering timely and high-quality customer service.
- Facilitate engaging meetings and training sessions, in-person and virtually.
- Use data to measure, evaluate, and report on program impact and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Proactively identify opportunities for program improvement based on industry best practices, performance metrics, and participant/stakeholder feedback.
- Partner cross-functionally to design and implement process improvements, including automation and technology-enabled solutions, to ensure programs scale efficiently and sustainably.
- Partner with Instructional Designer(s) on the design and development of learning content and program resources.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless new hire onboarding experience, supporting employee engagement and retention.
- Maintain strong working relationships across teams to support shared accountability and smooth execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Talent Development and HR initiatives.
QualificationsRequired:
- 3+ years of experience in learning & development or related field.
- Strong project and program management skills; ability to track and manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deliverables with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders, build trust and rapport, and foster strong relationships across the organization.
- Customer service orientation and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Strong facilitation skills in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30-40% within the United States and Canada.
Preferred:
- Experience scaling leadership development programs in a high-growth, multi-site environment.
- Experience designing and measuring learning outcomes that align with business goals.
- Proficiency in data analysis and program evaluation.
- Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS platforms.
Working ConditionsThe Program Manager may work remotely, hybrid, or in-person at our Virginia Beach, Atlanta, or Dallas locations. Travel is expected up to 30-40% depending on need.
