Job description: Selectek is seeking a motivated Electrical Designer to join our growing team and contribute to the design of complex and impactful electrical systems for healthcare, senior living, and multi-family residential projects. Responsibilities:
- Design of interior and exterior lighting systems, fixture selection, and lighting control systems for code compliance and energy efficiency
- Conduct exterior photometric analyses to support community planning approvals
- Prepare power distribution drawings, including normal and emergency systems, panel schedules, and riser diagrams
- Coordinate low voltage systems: fire alarm, security, nurse call, data/IT, A/V, access control
- Perform system analysis: fault current, selective coordination, and energy code compliance
- Generate detailed CAD and Revit drawings to support construction documentation
- Participating in plan review and permitting processes with municipalities or health departments
- Support construction phase by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and performing site visits as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of electrical design experience with low voltage building systems
- Familiarity with NEC and relevant energy codes
- Experience in creating CAD and Revit-based documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively on multiple deadlines in a team-oriented environment
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
- EIT or PE licensure
- Experience with healthcare or residential building projects
Pay Rate: $31.25 /hr. – $43.27/hr.
