Job description: SummaryPeachtree Academy is interviewing for a dynamic administrative assistant to serve as our school secretary for the school year, 190 calendar. This position involves daily interaction with students, parents, and teachers. A friendly personality is needed to be successful in this role. Knowledge and regular use of Google Docs and Word is needed. The ideal candidate is great at answering the phones, coordinating a calendar, and assisting in enrolling new students and parent requests. The office is a fast-paced, happy environment.DutiesKey Responsibilities
- Scheduling & Calendar Management:
- Coordinate and manage calendars, including meetings and appointments.
- Be very organized and communicate well with your colleagues.
- Communication Management:
- Screen and respond to emails, phone calls, and correspondence on behalf of the school.
- Draft and proofread memos and emails.
- Documentation & Filing:
- Maintain and organize important files, records, and documents.
- Project Assistance:
- Provide support in project planning and management, especially initiatives led by the Chairwoman.
- Assist with research and preparation for policy development.
- Liaison Duties:
- Act as a point of contact between the Head of School and stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships to enhance communication and collaboration.
- Confidentiality & Discretion:
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
- Maintain a high degree of trust with leadership.
- Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Proven track record of handling confidential information responsibly.
RequirementsQualifications
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in administrative support and project management, especially within government or public administration (although this is not required).
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and proficiency in office software (e.g., Google docs or Microsoft Office Suite).
- Competencies: Ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively with others, and demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Attributes: High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of reliability and discretion in handling confidential matters.
