Position Overview:We are looking for a Window AD Lead to join our Information Technology Operations team and support the our Client’s Infrastructure Environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the on-premises management w/ O365, configuration, and security of Active Directory (AD) environments & supporting the Network. The Windows desktop system administrator is a crucial role responsible for managing and maintaining the desktop computing environment within an organization, ensuring users have the necessary resources and support to perform their work efficiently. Must have familiarity with Windows operating systems, PowerShell and SCCM. Basic networking concepts are also often required. Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate can be beneficial. Should have a deep technical understanding of Windows operating systems up to and including Windows 10/11/Server 2019. They also will manage the deployment and updates of software applications across the network using tools like SCCM.Requirements: * Must have 3-5 yrs extensive knowledge of supporting and implementing Microsoft Active Directory Services.
- Provide technical support: Offer face-to-face and remote Tier 1 and 2 incident resolution to users experiencing hardware, software, and application problems.
- Manage desktop deployments and configurations: Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and support desktop systems, including peripherals and software applications, ensuring they meet company standards and security policies.
- User account and access management: Create, modify, and delete user accounts, set permissions and access levels, and manage group policies in Active Directory.
- Troubleshooting and problem resolution: Diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of technical issues related to Windows operating systems, hardware components, software applications, and network connectivity.
- System monitoring and performance tuning: Monitor system performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and optimize desktop systems for optimal performance and resource utilization.
- Security management: Implement and manage security protocols, including antivirus solutions, security patches, and firewalls, to protect against threats and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Data backup and recovery: Assist with system and data backups and recovery procedures, creating and testing recovery plans to minimize data loss in the event of system failures.
- Hardware maintenance and repair: Perform repairs and replacements of hardware components like memory, hard drives, and network devices as needed.
- Previous Experience documenting procedures, configurations, and solutions to common issues for future reference and training purposes.
- Previous Experience collaborating with other IT professionals, such as network engineers and server administrators, to resolve complex issues and ensure cohesive system operations.
- A self-starter who exudes positive energy and can rally those around them to a common goal.
