Job title: Business Analyst (Data Governance & Analysis)

Job description: Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth data analysis, including profiling, validation, and issue identification using SQL and Python.
- Support Data Governance Council activities by preparing reports, facilitating meetings, and maintaining governance scorecards.
- Define and document data rules, classifications, usage policies, and compliance guidelines across business units.
- Communicate data policies and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data owners and custodians to resolve governance and quality issues.
- Assist in standardizing data capture for new product development initiatives.
- Provide guidance on data governance best practices and support internal teams with analytics needs.
- Investigate and validate new structured/unstructured datasets for accuracy and relevance.
- Recommend improvements to the organization’s data and analytics platforms.
- Escalate complex data issues to management or governance council as appropriate.
- Perform additional data and business analysis tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 6 years of experience in:
- Data analysis using SQL
- Data governance or business systems analysis
- Data profiling and quality management
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets and communicate actionable insights
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration to identify and resolve data issues
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Technical Skills & Tools:
- SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Python (with Jupyter Notebooks)
- AWS (S3, Redshift)
- Data governance platforms (MDM, Data Cataloging, Lineage Tools)
- Salesforce.com experience is a plus
