This role exists to provide dedicated, distraction-free support for converting various types of drawings into accurate AutoCAD files and maintaining as-built drawings. The assistant will help overcome current challenges related to staffing limitations and inefficiencies by delivering consistent and high-quality work. Hiring for this position allows the client to improve project turnaround, reduce internal training burdens, and enhance overall operational efficiency.The Impact you’ll makeAutoCAD Drawing Conversion & Updates
- Convert hand drawings, PDFs, photos, and other formats into precise 2D AutoCAD drawings.
- Update and maintain as-built floor plans and wiring diagrams as needed.
- Ensure all drawings meet client and industry accuracy standards.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Use Excel to analyze project data, identify patterns, and assist in decision-making processes.
- Prepare reports and summaries based on data analysis to support project deliverables.
Project Support & Communication
- Collaborate effectively with the team using communication platforms such as Zoho Cliq, WhatsApp, phone, and email.
- Manage project tasks with a high level of focus and reliability, minimizing distractions.
- Conduct research and gather required project information proactively.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience with AutoCAD, specifically 2D drawing creation and editing.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Proven ability to convert hand sketches, PDFs, and images into accurate AutoCAD drawings.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely via multiple platforms.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- WFH Set-Up:
- Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
- Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
- Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
- Back-up computer and internet connection
- Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
Your Superpowers:
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D floor plans and wiring diagrams.
- Strong analytical skills with Excel, including formulas, data manipulation, and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
- Reliable, focused, and able to manage workload without distractions.
- Proactive communicator comfortable with digital collaboration tools (Zoho Cliq, WhatsApp, email).
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems and their integration into AutoCAD drawings.
