PAY RATE: $32.18/hourWe are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.Job Details:Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)Industry: Aerospace / Defense / AviationBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision (Cigna)Perks: Bonus potential + Priority access via Tier 1 supplierOpenings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S.Qualifying Questions:Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?Summary:Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications, drawings, and manuals.Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations by resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.Repair or replace defective components using industry-standard techniques including splicing, soldering, and pinning.Implement and comply with engineering changes and system modifications.Operate test equipment and perform functional tests to verify system reliability and performance.Accurately document all work performed and prepare systems for inspection.Test, maintain, and calibrate electronic systems and test equipment.Follow all safety regulations and company programs including FOD, tool control, and 5S.Adapt to schedule changes as required.Participate in aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests if requiredPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredFour (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, OR Two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling and two (2) years of related experienceAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagramsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbsMust be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).Preferred Skills:FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) LicenseFCC LicenseNCATT CertificationPreferred knowledge in additional aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structures)About Us:The Structures Company is a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency specializing in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire placements.
