Job description: Compensation: $90,000 – $115,000 base + 7 % BonusAs the Electrical Control Engineer you will provide technical expertise for designing, maintaining, and modifying the process control and safety systems used by our chemical and specialty material production processes.Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership, support to the site’s 24/7 operations regarding safety and process control systems, process instrumentation, DCS, and PLCs.
- Use technical knowledge and data analysis skills to troubleshoot process control systems.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities on control and electrical systems.
- Support production and maintenance departments in continuous improvement, yield improvement, and efficiency improvements.
- Manage installation and startup of instrumentation and automation projects, including capital projects. Satisfy projects’ functional, budgetary, and timeline requirements.
- Work with other engineering disciplines to provide instrumentation and automation support for broader mechanical and chemical projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field.
- 5+ years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing or chemical process environment.
- Experience with variable frequency drives, PLC programming, and HMI programming.
- Experience with process instrumentation in an industrial environment.
- Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs and electrical drawings.
Expected salary: $90000 – 115000 per year
