Job description: Job Title: Civil DesignerJob DescriptionThis role involves supporting a confidential project and multiyear initiative for experienced Civil Design professionals. The Designer will provide drafting and detailing support for civil design of the Reactor Building from preliminary phase through construction documents.Responsibilities
- Prepare 3D Civil 3D civil models and 2D drawings and details of sit development.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of a civil discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy and strategy.
- Apply knowledge of civil drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with land/site development.
- Require knowledge of design principles and drafting procedures for design activities.
- Collaborate with Civil Manager to manage and issue models in Civil 3D while enforcing configuration management plan.
- Support Civil Land/Site Development Team in 3D modeling using Civil 3D.
- Use technical experience and analytical thinking to arrive at decisions using multiple internal and limited external sources.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Civil design and engineering.
- Expertise in Civil 3D and Autodesk suite of tools.
- Knowledge in land/site development design.
- Capability in Civil design tools like Civil 3D
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associates degree in Civil Design or similar with 3 years of experience in civil drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry or similar industries, OR at least 5 years of relevant work experience in civil drafting for these industries.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using Civil 3D for civil modeling.
- Experience managing project work schedules and priorities is preferred.
- Ability to work proactively with Engineering teams to develop 3D models in Civil 3D within a team environment.
- Competency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft products and Microsoft Teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Civil 3D family creation.
Work EnvironmentThis position offers a great opportunity to gain exposure on a new, highly confidential project. The role involves working in a team environment, with compliance to policies and procedures, using technologies such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Autodesk Construction Cloud tools.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 – $60.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
