The Designer II / Design Assistant will work directly alongside our principal Designer, supporting all phases of the interior and remodel design process – from concept to completion. You will assist with material selections, design documentation, client meetings, project management, and day-to-day creative support to help bring our projects to life with the level of polish and intention Park and Patina is known for. We’re looking for someone who is self-driven, organized, and able to manage their own workload. You’ll have the support of our team when needed, but success in this role means confidently setting priorities, staying ahead of project needs, and taking ownership of your tasks without needing daily oversight.You’ll collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and our construction team to bring projects from concept to completion. This role offers room to grow into a more senior design role over time.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in material, fixture, and finish selections (lighting, tile, plumbing, cabinetry, paint, hardware, etc.).
- Prepare and organize design boards, material samples, and client presentations.
- Maintain detailed product specifications and procurement tracking.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and vendor appointments alongside the principal Designer.
- Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Research and source materials, products, and vendors in line with project design direction.
- Track sample returns, vendor quotes, order timelines, and project milestones.
- Assist with jobsite coordination of finishes, furnishings, and installation logistics.
- Create design and construction detail documents for clients and trades
What You Bring
- 2-4 years of experience in residential interior design and/or remodel architecture, or a related design field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
- 2-4 years of experience in Chief Architect and/or AutoCAD is required.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility aligned with luxury, curated residential design.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with professionalism and poise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A team-player mentality with a strong desire to learn and grow within the company.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits and vendor meetings
