Salary range may vary based on geographic location.LocationLos Angeles, CAReporting StructureThe Temp Associate Technical Designer reports directly to the Sr. Technical Designer.What You’ll Be Responsible For:The Temp Associate Technical Designer will be assisting the Women’s Technical Design, Production Sweaters team with the following:
- Create tech packs for production styles and email to overseas factories
- Receive & spec production fit samples to ensure comments and construction details are correctly executed
- Attend all production fittings, take notes for communicating changes to vendors
- Update fit trackers to keep track of the production stage for each style from 1st Fit to TOP
- Receive handovers for all fit pieces from development team and keep track of those styles
- Assist the tech team with preparing outgoing packages
Qualifications/Experience We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience as technical assistant or fit technician
- Must have at least AA degree from a Fashion / Design Institute
- Entry level construction, grading and fit support experience
- Understands garment construction knowledge and fit
- Ability to read and understand tech packs
- Able to effectively communicate fit terminology and problem solve fit challenges
- Great interpersonal skills, confident and the ability to collaborate with cross functional team members
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet calendar goals and deadlines and organize work appropriately
- Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills
- Must have strong computer skills in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word & strong note taking
- Proficiency in Illustrator Software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
- Sweater knowledge regarding stitches, gauges, & yarn
