You’ll support the planning and conceptual design of new developments, assist in site and code research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that architectural decisions align with market demands and investment goals. Throughout the internship, you’ll sharpen your technical skills, build a portfolio of real-world work, and develop a deeper understanding of how our team combines expertise in design, development, and asset management to deliver high-performing spaces that meet the evolving needs of tenants, investors, and communities.Internship Learning Objectives/Task Goals:
- Exposure to real-world REIT operations and investment strategy
- Experience working on cross-functional real estate projects from concept to execution
- Mentorship from experienced professionals across architecture, development, and asset management
- A better understanding of how design decisions impact financial performance and tenant experience
- Conduct precedent research, site analysis, and feasibility studies
- Participate in design reviews and provide architectural input from a product and user experience perspective
- Help document space planning and programming requirements across property types
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed a minimum of 1 year of coursework with a major or concentration in Architecture or a related field.
- Strong design sensibility and interest in real estate development
- Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite
- Basic understanding of building codes, zoning, and development principles
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer, quality, and results orientation.
