Job description: OverviewC Tech, a Repligen company, develops advanced UV/Vis Spectrophotometric instruments utilizing unique Variable Pathlength Technologies (VPT) for Pharm/Bio industries.The R&D Electrical Engineer intern will have the unique experience of interacting directly with senior engineers working on projects in various stages of new product development. The intern will assist in evaluating and engineering various electronic components and subsystems. The intern will also be a contributor in our cross-function team project meetings to support development and completion of projects. They may work with a variety of tools, including Altium, and various software development IDEs to develop PC board layout, firmware and software.ResponsibilitiesUnder direct supervision, work closely with senior engineers developing and testing electrical components or systems:A. Involve and contribute to team discussions to analyze, investigate, and resolve problemsB. Assist in the preparation and execution of key engineering tasksC. Provide technical support to engineers, as neededD. Opportunities to develop experience of conceptual design, detail design, testing, and/or project engineeringE. Operate as a multidisciplinary member of the team of creative, independent individualsF. Develop electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams, and chartsQualifications
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience/exposure to MATLAB, Spice, LabVIEW, circuit board design, and/or analog/digital test equipment.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented product development organization.
- Proficiency with the use of personal computers, including word processing and graphical applications.
- Passion for troubleshooting and developing new designs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
