Compensation Range: $35 – 36.56 per hourWe’re looking for an Educational Content Writer to create high-quality, engaging content for grades 3–12. You’ll collaborate across teams to develop impactful learning solutions, writing in a variety of genres based on specific product needs.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with content-team members, editors, and other technical staff to produce quality content.
- Research effectively and verify accuracy of content. · Craft detailed outlines based on learning objectives established in collaboration with team members.
- Write cohesive, grammatically correct text appropriate for a student audience at a specified Lexile level.
- Review materials, identify problem areas in content or pedagogical approach and raise issues to manager.
- Implement necessary changes to text based on feedback from team members.
- Communicate proactively about project progress, inform manager if circumstances prevent meeting deadlines, and develop solutions to address issues.
Qualifications:
- Must have a college degree, preference for a degree in the field of social studies or literature.
- Previous experience writing for or teaching middle and high school students.
- Previous writing experience with a minimum of 5 past writing examples.
- Proficiency with applicable technology applications and content management systems.
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding communication skills, which includes a thorough command of the English language, spelling, writing, and grammar.
- Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and manage work for multiple content areas simultaneously.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.
