Job description: Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob DescriptionSUMMARYDirects, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.Responsibilities
- Work with Project Designers and Project Engineers to develop drawings and documents per specifications and project scope.
- Create approval drawings, shop drawings, and field drawings per project scope.
- Completely fill out control sheets after each design along with completed drawings.
- Ensure that serial number sheet is completed before product delivery when required.
- Fill out purchase order requisitions as needed.
- Create resource in Syteline and put on control sheet when control sheet is released to the shop.
- Obtain signed approvals and release drawings to the shop floor as directed by Head Project Designer or Project Engineers.
- Make revisions to drawings as directed by Engineering or Head Project Designer and follow through with revisions.
- Take ownership of assignments to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and documents per specifications.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, Associate degree from a two-year Technical College, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- 1 year of experience as a mechanical designer.
- 1 year of experience in AutoCAD.
- 1 year of experience with SolidWorks.

Work EnvironmentThe Engineering team consists of 10 people and is looking to add to the design group. The environment is family-owned and flexible, making it an ideal place to work. Technologies used include SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
