Description of WorkThe Administrative Technician is a core member of the Finance and Administration team, reporting to the Dean’s Office Administrative Coordinator. This position provides office administration, SharePoint site and general office support as well as friendly, professional customer service on the phone and in person in the Dean’s office. As a key player in providing effective and efficient support to the Libraries senior administration and employees, the Administrative Technician will exercise a high degree of discretion and judgment within the scope of assigned work.The University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks to attract and retain a high performing and collaborative workforce. Minimum Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and one year experience in an administrative support or customer service role; equivalent education will be considered.
- Excellent customer service, listening, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of customers, be proactive and collaborative with the ability to prioritize.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of office operations and administrative support functions.
- Ability to embrace new ideas, learn new technology, and adapt to change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Administrative support experience in an executive or academic environment.
