Acting as a bridge between technical execution and agile delivery, this role works closely with product, design, and technology leadership to align engineering efforts with business objectives. The AVP, Engineering and Delivery will lead multiple teams, drive best practices in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD, and ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and efficient.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing guidance on technical execution, scalability, and architecture.
- Own solution architecture and technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business needs while making key decisions on performance, security, and maintainability.
- Act as a Scrum Master, keeping teams focused and ensuring the timely delivery of large-scale initiatives.
- Drive best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure utilization to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with product leaders, design teams, and technology leadership to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
- Maintain a hands-on approach by contributing to development, testing, and solution design when necessary to eliminate roadblocks and accelerate delivery.
- Oversee and optimize agile processes, ensuring efficient workflows, sprint planning, and delivery execution across multiple teams.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and performance-tracking strategies to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Build and sustain a high-performing engineering culture that fosters innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop long-term technology roadmaps and ensure alignment with company growth strategies.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple teams.
- Strong expertise in cloud computing (Azure, AWS, or GCP), DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience in full-stack development and software architecture, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Proven ability to drive agile methodologies, Scrum processes, and delivery best practices at scale.
- Experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced technology environment.
