This position is located full-time on-site in North Reading, MA. Flexible start and end dates, 4-6-month duration preferred. Summer only or fall co-ops (July-Dec) welcomeThe Test Development Engineering Intern/Co-op will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and/or improve test processes for Analog, Digital, and/or Optical test equipment including test strategy, interface design, test station design, test software, fixturing, software tools, documentation, and process control capabilities
- Integrate new processes into production.
- Serve as a technical resource for factory operations to assist in general troubleshooting and debug of hardware or test software
- Investigate and develop more efficient test processes utilizing metrics to indicate results.
- Go beyond individual defect investigation & characterization to understanding defect trends in order to influence testing directions.
- Support design teams in development stages of new and existing products
Test Development plays a key role in the product development processes. The variety of activities in these processes involves a diversity of skills that you won’t find in many other entry-level opportunities. The desire to work in teams and address groups with your public speaking skills will be encouraged and fostered.About You
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering or related field
- Have knowledge of C / C++/ C#, .NET framework
- Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and waveform generators
- Proficiency with MS office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Have effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Must meet ITAR/FOUO requirements
- Must be available to commute to and work on site at our North Reading, MA
