Here, your growth powers our success.We are currently seeking a Commissioning Technician to assist our Commissioning Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and operational readiness of our systems and equipment.Position OverviewThe Commissioning Technician ensures that complex systems and equipment are properly installed, tested, and operational prior to third-party verification. This role involves working closely with project managers, field teams, commissioning agents, and other contractors to ensure all quality standards are met.Key ResponsibilitiesDocumentation of Commissioning Activities:
- Perform quality control inspections of mechanical equipment and record findings on tailored checklists.
- Create detailed reports, checklists, and documentation for commissioning activities, test results, and observations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and system configurations.
Functional Testing and Equipment Operations:
- Follow commissioning plans and procedures to ensure accurate commissioning of mechanical systems in line with project specifications.
- Execute functional tests to validate system performance and identify discrepancies.
- Perform system adjustments and calibrations as needed.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Identify and diagnose mechanical issues during commissioning activities.
- Follow up with field teams to ensure proper corrective actions are taken and verify issue resolution.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and equipment vendors to develop solutions and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, HVAC, or a related construction curriculum preferred AND/OR at least two years of experience in mechanical systems installation, testing, or commissioning.
- Proficiency with HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including standing for extended periods, working in adverse weather conditions, and navigating rugged or unstable environments.
- Willingness to travel to various project locations as required.
- Strong communication, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills.
