Work Setting: Remote, with 25% travelRequired:
- Experience with BESS;
- Experience understanding technical, performance, and integration of Li-Ion batteries as part of ESS;
- Experience in Commissioning process creation;
- Experience in containerized systems, skids, controllers, transformers, combiners;
- Experience with DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV);
- Experience with control systems and troubleshooting;
- Engineering or professional electrical career in power systems construction and startup with min 100MW-hr or 5 EA energy storage systems and commissioning.
Preferred:
- Experience with SCADA.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct plant testing, performance testing, ISO/GIA/PPA Testing and startup of a Battery Energy Storage System and Solar Coupled Power systems;
- Oversee aspects of the energy storage system including compliance, status reporting, safety, startup, commissioning, and testing;
- Manage and report on commissioning, and performance testing work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site;
- Participate in safety program and audits;
- Support PPA Testing with customer;
- Support GIA Testing with TO;
- Support ISO testing.
