Job description: Job Title: Business Development Executive โ Heavy Civil Transportation ConstructionJob Description: We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive with a background in heavy civil transportation construction to drive growth and expand our client base. The ideal candidate will have experience in roadway/highway construction, rail, bridges/structures, or similar sectors, with a strong ability to identify new business opportunities and build lasting relationships.Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the heavy civil transportation construction sector.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, engineers, and other industry professionals.
- Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations to secure new projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with company goals and project capabilities.
- Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to drive strategic decision-making.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to successfully close new business deals.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience in the heavy civil transportation construction industry.
- Strong understanding of roadway/highway construction, rail, bridges/structures, and other related projects.
- Proven track record of securing new business and managing client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
Location: DC – Baltimore Metro Area
