- The main function of a software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.

Job Responsibilities:
- Modify existing databases and database management systems.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
- Purpose of the team- Team is responsible for Battery solutions for the Audio Team
- Key projects The SW/FW development Battery team is seeking a SW engineer to help drive and drive SW/FW engineering efforts for next generation products.? The person will work closely with in collaboration with our internal partner teams like PM, HW, DVE and product team and external partners, working with internal and external partners, Driver releases, and debugging and meeting product deadlines.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm Modify existing Firmware and drivers, integration of 3rd party drivers, modify existing tools, Write and code windows drivers and debug on complex and unfamiliar code across various technology areas, Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations, and Keep work items up to date and participate in Sprint planning/stand ups.
Job Qualifications:
- Must Have 2+ years of Experience with C/C++ and C#
- 1 year Experience with Logic analyzers or debuggers
- 1 year Developer experience in audio domain
- 1 year Device Driver experience
- 2-4 years experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
- The best candidate would have strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time. Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue, Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software, Knowledge of computer development software C/C++ and C#
- Excellent C/C++ design and coding skills.
- Experience with new hardware bring-up and factory manufacturing.
- Experience and ability to ramp-up quickly on complex and unfamiliar code across various technology areas.
Desired Job Qualifications:
- Able to Debug across various environments and to quickly identify and resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems, owners and organizations.
- Development and/or Architectural experience in areas such as system drivers and device drivers a strong plus.
- Experience with various interfaces including SPI, USB, I2C, I2S, UART, MIPI are beneficial.
- Experience in Battery and/or power supply and configuration management and charging is a plus.
- Development and/or Architectural experience in areas such as system drivers and device drivers a strong plus.
- Exposure to Rust is a plus.
- Tolerance for ambiguity with an ability to make progress in the face of it.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines and functions (Program Management, Test, Hardware etc)

- Pay Range: $59/hr. to $76/hr.
