We are seeking a high-level metrology engineer capable of operating multiple tool types, generating and interpreting data, modifying recipes, and providing 1:1 support to technologists at the highest technical level.What You’ll Do
- High-level metrology engineer capable of operating multiple tool types, generating and interpreting data, modifying recipes, and providing 1:1 support to technologists at the highest technical level.
- Requires sufficient technical familiarity with tools and metrology techniques to manage vendors and interact efficiently with vendor field service engineers when need arises to help deliver maximum asset availability.
- Tool sets include: optical and x-ray thin film measurement systems (ellipsometry, XRF, XRR), particle and defect inspection, atomic force microscopy (AFM), CDSEMs, FTIR, TXRF (and others).
- Make recommendations that enhance overall lab performance and workflow, help develop metrology lab capabilities, and perform regular evaluation of key metrology assets using SPC methods.
- Closely interface with a wide array of process technologists at the highest technical level to deliver world-class metrology solutions and analytical results that are aligned with requirements.
Who We’re Looking ForMinimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics or related field with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience.
- This is a graduate eligible role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with one or more of the following techniques: optical and x-ray thin film measurement systems (ellipsometry, XRF, XRR), atomic force microscopy (AFM), CDSEM, FTIR, SEM/TEM, and x-ray scattering (SAXS).
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or other similar scientific computing language.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and working with large datasets.
- Familiarity with working in a laboratory and/or cleanroom environments.
- Experience with statistical tools (JMP, Excel, etc.).
