Job description: Electrical EstimatorWe are searching for an Electrical Estimator. The estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates on projects under direct supervision for service as required by clients documents.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and scope/requirements.
- Prepares budget by studying plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
- Evaluate offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; and negotiating price.
- Interact with the customer to drive sales and validate expectations are understood and met.
- Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.
- Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access
- Must have strong math skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years experience (10 years preferred) in Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing
