Job description: Who you are:As a Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology Lab Holding Area (RN- EP Lab Holding Area) for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), your goal is to keep our patients safe both pre and post-operatively as they undergo their EP Lab procedure. Your calm demeanor and ability to act quickly in a crisis are the key to keeping our patients and their families well informed and cared for.What you’ll do:
- Pre-op assessment and admission of patients for EP procedures
- Patient monitoring during Pre/Post Op stage of the EP procedure
- IV Cardiac medication administration and titration.
- Post-op recovery for moderate sedation and light anesthesia cases
- Post-operative groin management post sheath removal
- Assist with Tee/Cardioversions that are done in prep/recovery
- All Pre/Post Procedural documentation
- Procedural support for Event recorder implants
- Perform patient and family education instruction pre/post procedure with validation upon discharge.
QualificationsWhat you’ll bring:
- Ideally, you will have experience in one of the following areas:
- EP Lab Holding Area RN or PACU RN experience is highly preferred
- PCU or Cardiac Telemetry RN experience
- Cath Lab RN experience
- Experience with initiating IVs
- Experience with performing EKGs
- Knowledge of sterile technique and prep.
- NH State RN licensure is required
- American Heart Association ACLS Certification is required
- American Heart Association BLS Certification is required
