Job description: ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION Senior CAD DesignerOur client is a stable and growing electrical contractor looking to add an Electrical Senior CAD Designer to their team.The client, is a local electrical contractor who performs a lot of work on a Design / Build basis. They have an excellent ReputationThey are looking for a Senior CAD Designer to lead their growing department.This person will be required to provide mentorship and coaching for a junior team member.Senior CAD Designer Responsibilities:· Create structural BIM models and construction documents for a variety of building types using AutoCad with larger project being modeled in Revit, including commercial and industrial construction· Create model views, building plans and layouts, sketches, and construction details· Coordinates with structural engineers to gather building dimensions, drawing requirements, structural details, and drawing markups· Excellent communications skills are required.· Candidate should have the ability to understand architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings, as well as related specifications.· Familiarity with electrical construction means and methods.· Experienced in the production of design documents, fabrication drawings, or design detail drawings as it relates to both design professionals and trade contractors in Revit and AutoCAD platforms.· Experience with AutoCAD and Revit are preferred.Strong computer, technical, and communications skills are essential and required.Senior CAD Designer Qualifications:· 5+ years of experience with Auto CAD and Revit· Associate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting or similar· In-depth knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCadTake the next step in your career.
