We are looking for a commercial real estate Acquisitions and Development Lead to help us grow our investment portfolio. Cultural fit and growth potential are more important than experience. We are interviewing candidates with as little as 8 years of experience up to executive level with 20+ years of experience.What’s the purpose of this role:
The purpose of this role is to drive the firm’s growth and expand the firm’s portfolio. It ensures financial performance by sourcing and securing high-quality real estate acquisitions while fostering strong relationships with investors. It is an entrepreneurial position, offering engagement in all stages of acquisitions and development. It requires a desire to learn and grow UD+P’s capabilities in all steps of the investment process.
By maintaining strong investor relationships, the role attracts essential capital for future projects and extends the firm’s 18-year record of delivering and improving successful community-enhancing buildings while providing competitive returns to its loyal investor network.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (What you’re responsible for)Capital Raising and Investor Relations – In close coordination with CEO and Investor Services team, secure capital necessary to meet company objectives from new investor prospects and existing investor relationships. Deepen the quality of investor relationships post-investment with regular updates through in person meetings, webinars, newsletters and also guided by periodic surveys and feedback received.Deal Sourcing and Evaluation – Source and evaluate multifamily acquisitions that meet UD+P’s investment criteria, promptly taking them from initial assessment to Investment Committee approval/rejection.Financial Analysis and Due Diligence – Create thorough and accurate financial models and projections to support acquisition and investment activities. Complete due diligence (DD) process steps within specified timelines, while presenting thorough DD memos to Investment Committee per process guidelines.Development Management and Execution – Manage multiple development projects ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Ensure successful completion on time, within financial targets, and meeting or exceeding our design and quality standards.KEY COMPETENCIES: (What you’re good at!)Intelligence – Understands & absorbs market and asset information rapidly.
