An Electrical Apprentice assists in the installation of electrical equipment according to National Electric Code, plans, and specifications.Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 Year of experience in Commercial Electrical Construction is preferred
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- A strong work ethic with a desire to learn and grow
- Basic electrical knowledge of circuits and wiring
- Team oriented with a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Adheres to company safety policies and procedures
- Measure, bend, thread, cut conduit for installation of overhead and wall rough ins
- Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
- Installation of light fixtures and devices
- Terminate electrical connections in panels, junction boxes, and electrical equipment
- Pulling wire through raceways
- Installation of panelboards and transformers
- Testing electrical systems for continuity of circuits in electrical wiring and equipment
- Walking, climbing, lifting, reaching, bending, kneeling, and able to lift/carry 50 pounds
- Exposure to varying conditions and temperatures
- Works from various heights on ladders, scaffolds, or aerial lifts
