Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service. Supports the team in meeting clinical and service goals. Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinator will be asked, at times, to complete outbound calls to facilities.This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm depending on time zones. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.Primary Responsibilities:Provide non-clinical support to the UCS Discharge Care Management team through the performance of a variety of tasks that contribute to the efficiency and success of the program. These includes:
- Accurately enter member information into a variety of platforms
- Assist in obtaining and updating clinical information from the hospitals
- Assist in researching, obtaining, and maintaining relevant personnel and contact information at hospitals
- Develop and maintain critical discharge management relationships at hospitals
- Assist in obtaining medical records for retention and filing in appropriate systems
- Navigate between computer screens and platforms to research member information
- Effective communication with Discharge Care Team members throughout workday via email, TEAMs chat, and telephone to assist in coordination of discharges
- Assist in developing and reviewing workflows and job aides to ensure correct and efficient processes are being followed
- Efficiently responding to incoming communications such as calls or emails in order to provide prompt and courteous service to partners
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external customers
- Cross train in in other programs that provide Clinical Administrative Coordination and provide support as needed
- Extensive work experience within own function
- Work is frequently completed without established procedures
- Works independently
- Act as a resource for others
- Other tasks as requested by their manager

- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience
- Must be 18+ years of age or older
- 2+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems
- 2+ years of experience working in the health care industry
- 2+ years of telephonic customer service experience
- 1+ year of experience in an Office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties
- Working Knowledge of Medical Terminology to communicate with members and providers
- Experience with MS Word (create, edit, save documents)
- Microsoft Excel (view, sort)
- Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
- Be able to use multiple web applications, to include preparing and/or format office documentation needed for various audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with Microsoft Access databases

- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
