Job description: Job Title: Software EngineerJob DescriptionWe are looking to add multiple Software Engineers to our team of all levels. This position will support design, development, testing, and commissioning for controls systems software projects across the US. Recently, we have secured a 15-year contract to support UPS facilities and are currently working on multiple large projects nationwide, including in Nashville, Louisville, Atlanta, Phoenix, Buffalo, and two sites in California.Travel is required for this position, averaging 25-30% annually (80-100 days per year). Travel tends to be heavier in the summer and fall, with a 10 on and 4 off schedule while traveling. Travel tapers off after Thanksgiving and picks back up in late spring.Software Engineers will work both in the office and in the field at customer sites. In the office, they will work on design, modifications, development, and implementation of software applications. They will support and/or install software applications, operating systems, and computer and networking equipment, participating in the testing process through test review and analysis, execution, witnessing, and certification of software.In the field, they will interface software with customer systems by downloading code, testing it, working through customer tests, troubleshooting, and supporting the project on standby after startup. This is mainly a day shift position but will require some off-shift work to avoid impacting production in the facilities.Responsibilities include:– Programming front-end and back-end software for UPS and Amazon parcel/post sortation and handling equipment– Programming HMI’s as necessary (Indusoft)– Upgrading and retrofitting existing hardware and software– Troubleshooting PLC programs and suggesting solutions to field issues– Investigating system issues and recommending solutionsHard Skills
