To apply, click “Apply to Job” online on this web page.Product Designer ResponsibilitiesDesign digital user interfaces, create graphics, and design new experiences or layouts that evolve and/or define visual systems for web and app-based applications and technologies with a focus on generating new visual language.Take broad, conceptual ideas and create design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant for supported platforms.Drive partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategists to oversee user experience of a product from conception to launch.Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Meta products.Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship.Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.Clearly and succinctly articulate goals and concepts when representing work to broader product team and other leaders.Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.Minimum QualificationsRequires a Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation. Requires three years of experience in the following:1. Building and shipping applications or software at company-level scale2. Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people’s needs3. Prototyping4. Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography5. Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users6. Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts7. Defining product specifications and user experiences8. Understanding and interpreting user research and usability testing9. Leading end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes10. Developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making strategic design decisions based on impact to the company11.
