- Support of the fiscal, budgetary, and accounting operations. Plans, organizes, develops, maintains, and coordinates the development and implementation of fiscal operations, processes, policies and procedures for the MN program.
- Support development of the annual agency’s MN budget and reviews statewide expenditure and spend plan data.
- Will perform monthly program/project expense analysis and assist with the review and analysis of MN expenditures and budgets.
- Will be responsible for supporting executive decision making and presenting the financial aspects of projects to senior management.
- Requires understanding budgeting and accounting with the ability to analyze complex business problems and recommend solutions.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets to promote financial accountability, and assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities.
- Provide good customer service to internal team members & external customers, comprehensive analytical skills (Excel, MS Word), being an effective communicator, as well as being self-motivated and showing initiative while accomplishing the task at hand.
Required / Desired Skills:
- Extensive experience in the use of computers and software (Microsoft 365) applications. Excel pivot tables, complex spreadsheets, etc.
- Extensive in financial analysis and forecasting and forecasting
- Customer service to broad audiences, professionals, vendors, team members and executive staff
- General knowledge of accounting practices and financial management
- Experience in performance metrics, measurements, methods and targets to promote financial accountability is highly desirable.
- Experience with the Cardinal Financial system is highly desired.
