Job description: Job Description:We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Application Development Project Manager/Lead in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves leading and strategizing high-level program initiatives within our telecom provider company. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing multiple project teams, developing project scopes, and managing cross-project initiatives, among other responsibilities.Responsibilities:
- Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives aligning with organizational objectives
- Develop and implement program assessment protocols for continuous evaluation and improvement
- Uphold organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
- Oversee multiple project teams to ensure program goals are achieved
- Collaborate closely with project sponsor and cross-functional teams to develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, and budget for new initiatives
- Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment and coordinate cross-project initiatives
- Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Develop and manage budgets for projects, ensuring delivery against established business goals and objectives
- Collaborate with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
- Analyze, evaluate, and mitigate program risks and produce program reports.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience in Application Development and Project Management
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders effectively
- Proficiency in planning, budgeting, and time management
- Knowledge of Quality Design Principles and Protocols
- Experience in risk management and change management
- Ability to handle technical issues and deliver solutions
- Knowledge of Cyber Security principles and protocols
- Experience in Program Management
- Ability to perform ad hoc financial and productivity optimization tasks
- Understanding of deliverable principles and practices
- Experience in managing and leading application development projects.
