Job description: PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONWe’re seeking a results-oriented sales professional to join our team and play a key role in exceeding our ambitious sales goals. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to identify and secure new opportunities, while nurturing relationships with existing customers and manufacturer representatives.Here’s what you’ll do:
- Develop Winning Sales Strategies: Forecast sales, set annual quotas, and create data-driven plans to maximize revenue from existing and new customers.
- Forge Strong Customer Connections: Manage all aspects of customer relationships, from initial contact to establishing rapport and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Expand Market Reach: Partner with manufacturer representatives to identify target customers and execute winning sales plans. Travel included (approx. 40%).
- Become a Market Expert: Stay on top of industry trends, competitor activity, and economic indicators to recommend optimal selling prices.
- Drive Sales Through Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team on initiatives to boost brand awareness and lead generation.
- Represent Us at Events: Plan, attend, and manage our presence at conferences and trade shows, converting leads and nurturing relationships.
- Communication is Key: Provide ongoing feedback from customers and generate reports for all business trips and events. Facilitate communication between the sales team and internal departments.
- Invest in Your Growth: Continuously learn and develop your skills through workshops, professional publications, and networking opportunities.
- Meticulous contract review: Proactive review and negotiation of contracts at each step of the sales process ensuring all contracts align with the company terms and customer needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIESEducation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceExperience: Minimum 5 years work experience. Experience managing and working with manufacturers reps. Experience presenting business and technical information to customers. Previous work in structural steel, and/or electric utility industry a plus.Other Qualifications and RequirementsPHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Standing and/or walking 30%
