CTDI also has a global footprint with more than 20,000 employees worldwide.The Electrical Engineer, Quality designs, builds, performs, and analyzes tests for products and product components. With a specific focus on quality, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving testing systems, procedures, and documentation to ensure reliable product performance and compliance with established engineering and quality standards.Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct testing procedures using specialized equipment.
- Build, set up and maintain test systems for various telecommunications equipment.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades of different test benches related to Cable, Fiber, Mobility, Consumer, Wireless, and Wi-Fi electronic devices.
- Generate engineering documents, including but not limited to, schematics, diagnostics, flowcharts, and project status reports.
- Develop automated test and repair capabilities.
- Build, test, debug and develop C, C#, C++, Python, JTAG, CLI or LINUX applications.
- Debug hardware at the board level.
- Perform a variety of professional and technical engineering functions with minimal supervision, including but not limited to project management, continuous improvement plans and development projects.
Quality Specifications
- Ensure all test procedures and results comply with ISO 9001, TL 9000, or equivalent quality management standards.
- Verify that test systems, equipment, and results meet calibration and traceability requirements.
- Apply statistical analysis methods (SPC, Cpk, GR&R) to validate product quality and test system performance.
- Identify, document, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience
- 1-4 years of experience.
- Ability to build test systems and configure software for test systems.
- Experience in testing and debugging RF, analog, mixed signal ICs.
- Experience in developing test instructions and procedures.
- Experience designing test systems and using custom and off the shelf test equipment.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and execute test procedures.
- Ability to create/analyze detailed technical documentation with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates problem-solving abilities and effective decision-making skills.
- Ability to work as an individual as well as in a Team environment.
- Ability to interact professionally with the customer in a professional manner, if applicable.
- Report preparation, and data analysis.
- Proficiency In MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Project), report preparation, and data analysis.
Quality Specifications
- Ability to execute tests and document results in accordance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Apply structured root cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA) to resolve product and process quality issues.
- Demonstrated ability to follow, create, and maintain controlled documentation (test plans, work instructions, procedures).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Skilled in engaging and collaborating effectively across various engineering disciplines.
- Ability to interact and collaborate professionally with the Business and Operational teams.
- Written, and verbal communication skills.
Quality Specifications
- Experience supporting quality audits (internal and external) and ensuring compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
- Skilled in implementing quality improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen within test environments.
- Ability to define and track quality metrics (yield, defect rates, rework, first-pass success) to drive continuous improvement.
Educational Requirements
- S. Degree in Engineering or a related field of science.
Physical Demands
- Warehouse environment.
- Engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
