With a steadfast dedication to excellence, we are committed to creating safe, clean, and healthy environments for our clients.We are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead and support our cleaning operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of building cleaners across multiple locations throughout the City and County, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently met. Additionally, this individual will be hands-on, stepping in to assist the cleaning team when needed to maintain smooth operations.Full Time: Monday – Friday 4:00pm – 12:30am, with the potential to be called in during off hours, weekends and holidays for emergencies.Nature of Work/Examples of Work PerformedThis role involves overseeing personnel and activities related to the cleaning and maintenance of large office buildings, institutional facilities, and other County properties, requiring a high level of responsibility.Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and supervising the work of Building Cleaners and Cleaning Equipment Operators; conducting inspections to ensure proper maintenance and completion of cleaning tasks; and ensuring timely response to emergency cleanup needs. Additionally, the role involves training staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, materials, and safety protocols, while also exploring and implementing new methods, procedures, and equipment to improve cleaning operations. The position also plays a key role in assisting with building security, coordinating inventory control for cleaning equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring expenditures, and participating in the hiring process for new employees. Supervision is provided by an administrative superior, with performance evaluated through reports, conferences, and overall outcomes.Minimum Qualifications/Necessary Special RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent plus some experience in custodial or housekeeping work or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Dependent upon work assignment, possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured by the County’s insurance carrier is required.Employees must work a least 30 hours per week to be eligible for insurance benefits.Vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays are prorated for part time employees based upon the hours worked per week.Temporary, seasonal, and on-call employees are not eligible for benefits.
Expected salary: $23.29 – 29.83 per hour
