Additional information about the department is available at: http://cse.unt.edu.Position OverviewThe Computer Science Engineering Department at the University of North Texas is seeking an Administrative Specialist to join our team. This role manages the department’s Curricular Practical Training operations, runs pre-requisite checks each semester, and assists with override requests. Responsibilities also include supporting faculty and program coordinators in committee meetings, maintaining department reports for accreditation and grants, coordinating degree-specific certifications, and assisting the Chair with correspondence, scheduling, and reporting. Additionally, this position provides overflow support for course scheduling during peak periods.Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree and three years’ of moderately responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Job Duties:
- Curricular Practical Training/Optional Practical Training in coordination with UNT Career Center.
- Running Pre-Requisite checks for all courses scheduled each semester as well as override requests for students and faculty each semester.
- Curating and running reports via UNT Insights used for Accreditation and Grant writing purposes for Department Faculty.
- Coordinate degree specific Certifications not supported by College of Engineering Undergraduate Advising Office on behalf of students and the necessary faculty.
- Will be cross-trained and support the Senior Administrative Specialist for Scheduling within the department to provide assistance in high workload seasons.
