Job description: Description :The electrical maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment in a safe manner.Essential Functions
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines.
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers, following electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and voltage tester.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform simple machinist or fabricator duties and responsibilities.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices, using hand tools.
- Use a variety of power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- Three (3) or more years of manufacturing maintenance experience; with strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical skills, including experience with PLC. (Experience with servo systems, machine vision and robotics is a plus.)
- Completion of an apprenticeship program, or an equivalent number of years of education and manufacturing maintenance experience is a plus.

- Certain tasks or work areas require hearing protection to be worn.
- May be working in areas where fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration are present – appropriate personal protection equipment must be worn in those areas.

- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
