Typically reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for electrical distribution systems, playing a key role in plant project engineering and project management.This is more than a job. It’s an opportunity to be part of a collaborative team, where your expertise in electrical systems will drive safety, efficiency, and sustainability for our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Engineering Leadership
- Ensure the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the plant’s electrical systems.
- Maintain and update electrical documentation, drawings, and data.
- Implement solutions that align with sustainability and energy reduction goals.
- Drive long-term electrical infrastructure strategies.
- Establish electrical standards and implement systems to ensure those standards are upheld.
- Design electrical and control systems for engineering projects.
- Monitor and optimize energy usage to reduce costs.
- Collaborate closely with the site Controls System Team to support operations.
Project Engineering & Management
- Assist the Engineering Manager in preparing capital budgets and manage capital project engineering.
- Develop project scopes, specifications, and manage RFQs.
- Oversee contractors, ensuring quality work and on-time completion.
- Lead the commissioning of engineering projects while managing timelines and budgets.
Maintenance & Reliability Support
- Identify opportunities to enhance reliability of power and control systems.
- Support maintenance teams with troubleshooting of production equipment.
- Work with the Maintenance Department to implement process improvements and support the plant’s Reliable Asset Management objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong experience with electrical distribution systems (480V to 138kV) and substations.
- Hands-on knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems and large motor drive control systems.
- Experience with Ethernet and fiber optic communications systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform duties in a plant environment, including climbing stairs/ladders and working in varying climates.
- Capability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Compliance with safety PPE requirements including hard hats, safety footwear, and respirators when needed.
Compensation: $100,000- $200,000 *anticipated annual salary may vary based on location, skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity.
