Job description: The Department of Human Services, Human Development and Family Science program at the University of Central Missouri invites applications for one assistant professor position 998401 in the Human Development and Family Science undergraduate and graduate program. The tenure track position will begin in August 2025.Candidates should provide evidence of developing a program of research, demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, and engagement in service/outreach; ability to advance the department’s commitment to diversity; excellent team collaboration skills, competency in instructional technology, and excellent oral and written communication skills. This position carries responsibilities for teaching, research and service, including advisement, recruitment and networking with professionals in the field. Preference may be given to candidates with documented effective college teaching experiences (in-person/online). Candidates with CFLE or MFT credentials (e.g. licensure) are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Development and Family Science. The position involves scholarly activity and professional service to the program, school, university, and professional organizations. Scholarly activity, such as presentations, publications, and grants, is necessary for promotion and tenure. The preferred candidate will have the ability to utilize technology and teach online courses.
