Applicants for staff positions do not need to have a barrier to employment to be eligible for these roles.*Peckham Inc. – Super CoachSUMMARYPeckham is looking for a Super Coach who will play a key role in fostering leadership skills and the development of supervisors in multiple Peckham departments. This position will provide one-on-one coaching, facilitate group learning, develop resources, and support for supervisors. The primary goal of the Super Coach is to help front line supervisors improve their ability to lead a teams effectively. This position has locations of assignments that vary throughout Peckham. Success in this role is defined by seeing measured growth and improved performance in the supervisors being supported by the Super Coach. This position is supported by grant funding from the Peckham Foundation. There may be opportunities for continuation beyond the grant period, however this cannot be guaranteed.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide one-on-one job support to supervisors, helping supervisors become better leaders of themselves and others.
- Build coaching relationships with assigned group of supervisors.
- Support supervisors in goal setting activities with a focus on growing their personal and professional skillsets to successfully lead a team of team members.
- Focused supervisor development of the following areas: effective communication, approachability and empathy, self and team management, adaptability, confidence and positivity, transparency, team building and morale, and a willingness to learn.
- Work with peer supervisor coaches and the Director of Employee Engagement to identify patterns across the supervisor population and design interventions and supports to address the universal skill gaps.
- Identify new content and/or develop and lead group sessions/trainings in response to universal skill gaps identified.
- Collaborate with Peckham operations and other stakeholders to provide valuable insights and expertise on the needs of Peckham supervisors
- Partner with Human Resources staff on a variety of needs to best support Peckham supervisors including performance management, navigating conflict, and team building
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in building and providing other trainings needed for staff as requested
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity through daily practices
- Support other staff engagement activities and initiatives as needed
- Maintain safe and clean work environment.
- Promote Peckham’s mission & core values to all customers and stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not have direct supervisory responsibilityMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience in the areas of business, non-profit management, education/educational intervention or learning and talent development
- Must be able to set a good example of reliability, dependability, and punctuality in the workplace
- Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Access to reliable transportation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in education, human services, psychology, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience teaching or supervising and/or coaching others
- Experience leveraging discussion and data to better understand individual and aggregate learning barriers and opportunities.
