The below job opportunity is to one of Our clients who is a global leader in analytical testing, deliver a comprehensive portfolio of complete solutions – systems, software, consumables, and on-site and online services – with one overarching purpose: to help make the world healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable.Job Title: Associate Lab Computing AnalystDuration: 6 MonthsLocation: Summit, NJ 07901Job Type: ContractWork Type: OnsiteJob Description:Implements, monitors and provides technical support of customer laboratory ITenvironments, typically integrated with instrumentationImplements customer specified benchtop computing design and processesAdministers and assures connectivity of customer’s Windows based platformMaintains and supports the operating system, desktop hardware and peripherals,enterprise print strategy, management tools, application packaging, desktop tooldevelopment, software distribution, and core desktop applicationsManage On-boarding, retirement and relocation of equipmentImplements Windows based security, including but not limited to: user / grouppermissions, file / folder permissions, group policies, local security policies, etc.Analyzes, identifies, and implements enhancements, upgrades and/or solutions to improve the overall support of the desktop platform in a timely mannerEnsures adherence to client’s corporate policies through periodic reporting and compliance programsActs as the technical support contact for field service engineers, repairing and troubleshooting client instrument and information technology issuesFollow documented procedures, policies, troubleshooting and best practicesCreate and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PC’s, software and any other information pertinent to the environmentSubmit weekly Engineer reports to the team lead by COB on the last business day of the weekActs as Liaison for software/hardware related inquiriesEscalates IT issues that are not resolved PKI Lab IT analystsParticipates in client team meetingsEscalates delivery concerns to the team leadExperience with scientific instrumentationExperience in Life Science environmentOther Requirements:Must be able to remains in a stationary position more than 25% of the timeThe person in this position needs to occasionally move inside and outside labsFrequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.Regularly move or lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally move or lift up to 100 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the instrument), distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer Interaction level with Management/Team Members: DailyCritical Skills:Associate degree in Computer Science or technology industry experience OR1+ year of relevant technical experience including (but not limited to); Excellent customer service skills complimented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests.Must Haves:Ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframesNeed 1-2 years of experience in corporate environment at an enterprise level.Our client requires 24/7 support, day and night shifts, including weekends.Scheduling flexibility is a must.Must have experience in Hardware troubleshooting and current IT technologiesTechnology Requirements:Windows technologies including Microsoft Office, networking, remote computing and backup systemsSoft Skills Needed:Detailed OrientedExcellent Oral and Written SkillsAction OrientedTeam Player Efficient collaboration skillsEager to learn and grow within teamTekWissen Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
