OverviewLingo Staffing is proud to partner with a Roanoke-based organization seeking a creative and technically skilled Web/Digital Designer to join their growing team.This position is ideal for a designer who combines strong visual design talent with hands-on front-end web production skills—especially in WordPress and HubSpot. The right candidate will be comfortable designing, building, and maintaining engaging digital experiences that drive measurable business results.Working collaboratively with marketing, development, and content teams, the Web/Digital Designer will create digital interfaces, campaigns, and assets that reflect the company’s brand, enhance user experience, and support overall marketing goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain responsive website layouts, landing pages, and marketing funnels using WordPress and HubSpot CMS.Create modern, user-focused layouts, hero graphics, banners, icons, and components that elevate both design and usability.Apply best practices in UX/UI, color theory, and typography to deliver an intuitive and consistent user journey.Implement web content updates, troubleshoot layout or styling issues, and ensure consistency across browsers and devices.Develop and maintain design systems, reusable templates, and brand style guides for cohesive digital presentation.Integrate on-page SEO principles including proper heading structure, metadata, image optimization, and schema markup.Collaborate with marketing and content teams to design SEO-optimized landing pages that increase engagement and conversions.Optimize designs for page speed, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals performance.Support marketing campaigns with custom email templates, calls-to-action, and HubSpot modules for automation workflows.Partner with developers to ensure design fidelity and successful implementation of new features and plug-ins.
Qualifications3+ years of professional experience in web or digital design (agency or in-house).Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or Figma for design and prototyping.Advanced experience with WordPress (theme customization, page builders such as BeTheme, responsive design).Strong working knowledge of HubSpot CMS, HTML5, CSS3, and familiarity with JavaScript/jQuery.Understanding of UX/UI principles, accessibility (WCAG), and mobile-first design standards.Proven experience designing and building SEO-optimized websites and landing pages with measurable improvements in performance.Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and keyword tools such as SEMrush or Ahrefs.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management—able to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
Preferred SkillsExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, development, and content).Knowledge of conversion optimization, A/B testing, and data-informed design refinement.Experience maintaining design and SEO consistency across multiple properties.Familiarity with HubSpot marketing automation, form tracking, and campaign analytics.
