Our ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and demonstrates problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.The Production Business Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day department activities for the entire shift, as well as planning, hiring, development and CAP/Compensation planning for their team, while fostering an inclusive environment!What You’ll Do:Coordinate and execute training activities for salary team membersCollaborate and facilitate with the department to help plant meet quality targetsMaintain high level of GMS performance for the departmentDrive a high-level safety cultureLead productivity projectsManage salary manpower requirements for the departmentParticipate in forecasting and forward planning activitiesEnsure compliance with alarm and escalation, inspection ticket integrityOversee quality holds and interfaces with shipping yard regularlyChampion Department initiatives associated with Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost and EnvironmentalInterface with Government on a regular basisCoordination and management of vehicle inspections and all supporting documentationPrioritize and balance resources between plant departmentsCandidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee) or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required export control authorization.Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Associates degree or greater in automotive / manufacturingMinimum of 5 years of assembly / manufacturing experienceProven leadership skillsThe position is subject to export control restrictions and requires the successful candidate to be either a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee) or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required export control authorization.#GMDGM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
