As an entry-level CAD Designer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that designs and develops critical military equipment.Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level CAD Designer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of military equipment and systems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to contribute to the success of our projects.Roles and Responsibilities:CAD Design: Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings of military equipment and components using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other team members to translate conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and models.Design Modification: Assist in making design modifications as needed, addressing any changes in project requirements or performance specifications.Quality Control: Ensure that all CAD designs meet our company’s quality and compliance standards, as well as relevant military and industry regulations.Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of design files, revisions, and other relevant documentation.Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate project progress, resolve design-related issues, and implement design changes.Research: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, CAD software advancements, and military technology developments to contribute innovative ideas to the design process.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or a related field.Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and error-free designs.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.An understanding of military specifications and standards is a plus, but not required for entry-level positions.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer aided technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field.Relevant work experience in procurement, 1-3 years preferred.
