Job description: Lapeer plastic injection molding company specializing in components, emblems, ornamentations, decorative trims and other plastic components is seeking an Experience Purchasing Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join their team. Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM, $23 per hour. Must have solid, proven, previous Purchasing Experience and Administrative experience. This is detail-oriented position requiring flexibility and willingness to perform many tasks in the department. Purchasing Clerk Job Duties:-Support and assist the Purchasing Coordinator and Manager in all aspects of the Purchasing Depart-Issue blanket purchase orders as required – retaining appropriate authorization from management-Generate and issue MRO purchase orders as required – retaining appropriate authorization from management-Maintain weekly supplier schedules-Promote and maintain current and future supply base (Approved Supplier List)-Attend production, performance, APQP and at-risk meetings as required-Coordinate raw materials weekly cycle counting activities with manufacturing. Input and submit to management for review-Maintain and issue supplier ratings monthly via QAD-Active involvement in corporate contracts with current and future suppliers -Ensure that materials and parts utilized in the supply chain meet minimum requirements for quality assurance standards-Other Duties as Assigned.

- Inputting data into Metal and Chemical price tracking matrix
- Metal pricing changes weekly
- Chemical pricing monthly/bi-monthly
- Service Invoice Processing (Cintas, LMS, Youngs, ect.)
- SharePoint Management
- Cleanup of data base
- Adding Supplier Codes
- Ordering for requests under $1,000
- Cost Saves
- Organizing Matrix
- Support on Open Items
- Shopping Consumables
- Price Checking for best price
- Labels
- Managing Matrix
- Taking Inventory Weekly
- Creating PRs/Pos
- Tracking Orders
- Dock Support
- Helping keep the cage cleaned up of deliveries that the dock is unsure what to do with
- Support Obtaining and Organizing documents needed for Supply Chain/Purchasing IATF requirements
Experience and Skills Required:-Experience in production planning or materials management, in a manufacturing environment-Proficient in MS word, excel and power point-Excellent communication, math and negotiation skills-Working knowledge of inventory control-Working Knowledge of/ IATF16949 procedures Why work for Qualified Staffing?
