GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Los Angeles, CA (Remote)Reports to: Lead DesignerTalento has partnered with an innovative leader in the toy industry, specializing in creating fun, imaginative, and trend-forward products for children and whose product line focuses on delivering on-trend products inspired by social media trends.This is a remote-first company with processes, culture and tools built to support a distributed team in U.S., China, HK and other countries around the world, with showroom offices in HK and Los Angeles. Their products are distributed in over 45 countries and have experienced multiple double-digit year-over-year growth rates.Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to join our Girls’ Line team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging design and product design specifically for toys targeted toward girls with a keen sense of emerging social trends.This individual will play a critical role in shaping the visual identity of our products, from concept through to production, ensuring they resonate with our target market while maintaining brand consistency.Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging Design: Develop eye-catching packaging concepts that communicate product value and appeal to the girls’ toy market.
- Product Design: Collaborate with product development to design graphics and patterns for toys, accessories, and related materials.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure designs are consistent with our brand identity and resonate with the target demographic.
- Concept Development: Create original concepts, mood boards, and style guides to inspire new product directions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations to align creative with business goals.
- Production Support: Prepare files for print and manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the production process.
- Trend Research: Stay up to date with design, fashion, and toy industry trends to ensure products remain relevant and exciting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing toys, with a strong emphasis on girls’ toys (portfolio required).
- Experience working with remote China and HK production teams.
- Expertise in packaging design and product graphics for consumer goods.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of print production processes, materials, and color management.
- Excellent creativity, attention to detail, and ability to translate trends into market-ready designs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote-first environment.
- Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects remotely.
