This fellowship is designed to provide advanced training in clinical and translational research, focusing on the understanding and treatment of movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, and other related conditions. The successful candidate will work under the mentorship of leading experts in the field, contributing to innovative research projects aimed at improving patient care and advancing scientific knowledge in movement disorders. Daily, the Clinical Research Fellow will report to the Director of Clinical Trials and two Principal Investigators. The Clinical Research Fellow is part of a robust team comprised of four research coordinators, the Director of Clinical Trials, Two Principal Investigators and up to 4 student hires.Additional duties include but are not limited to:

Work InteractionsAs an employee of Georgetown University, the Clinical Research Fellow directly supports the University’s mission of Cura Personalis. Clinical Trials offer a unique opportunity for a patient to receive personalized and comprehensive care in a manner that they may not experience otherwise as a patient. The Clinical Research fellow will enable patients with Movement Disorders to have more opportunities to participate in Clinical Trials with a focus on increasing the diversity of participants that participate in clinical trials. In the overall scheme of the Georgetown University Medical Center, this position indirectly and directly supports multiple departments. From a fiscal perspective, the indirect/overhead costs generated by clinical trials support the GUMC operating costs.Requirements and Qualifications
